Steven Gerrard Childhood
Steven Gerrard is a former English player and who plays his
football with the English giants Liverpool in his career and also currently he
is the manager of the Scottish club Rangers, he was the captain for his side
Liverpool and also he captained his national England in many tournaments he
regards among the best midfielders of his generation.
Steven Gerrard was born in
Whiston, Merseyside, in his career he started playing football for his
town Whiston juniors, from where the Liverpool scouts noticed him and at the
age nine he joined the Liverpool academy, Steven Gerrard Childhood football

was also his dream to play one day for his dream club Liverpool any day.
At the age of fourteen, Steven Gerrard has made his trial
with many other clubs but he failed to qualify for any of those, he never
managed to get into the England schoolboys' team, even in his career to
pressurize his club Liverpool to get him a contract he even opted to go on a
trail for the Manchester United.
Steven Gerrard made his Liverpool debut for the Reds team In
the year 1998 in the premier league against the Blackburn Rovers and in that
season the youngster Gerrard made thirteen appearances for the Liverpool side
filling the space of injured Liverpool present captain Jamie Redknapp in the
center of midfield.
In the next season, Gerrard got more time on the field with
his dream club and in the center of the midfielder he formed a strong
partnership with the Redknapp, in the year 2003, Steven Gerrard scored a
wonderful goal against Manchester United in the Football league cup where
Liverpool won the match with flying colors by 2-0 goals.
In his career, he has also received many offers from the
other Premier League clubs as well, after the 2003-04 season where Liverpool
ended the season without any silverware at that moment Chelsea offered him a
hefty amount of money which Gerrard snubbed and continued his football with the
Liverpool side.
Liverpool announced Steven Gerrard as their captain for the
2004-05 season and in that under the captaincy of Steven Gerrard Liverpool won
the Champions League against the Italian giants AC Milan by defeating them in
the penalties, in the match, Liverpool Went 3-0 down against AC Milan in the
first half and after conceding three goals they managed to scored three goals
within six minutes and then the match goes to the penalty.
Gerrard is the one who scored 23 goals in the 53 matches in
the 2005-06 season and in the month of April he became the first player since
John Barnes in 1998 to the PF A player of the year.
The 2014-15 season was the last season for the superstar in Liverpool after that year he joined the American based club LA Galaxy and from there he announces his retirement.
